Japanese Picnic and Weekend Date :)

It`s a remedy for missing Japan? I guess it is. There is a Japanese Picnic at Arboretum held by Asian Studies Center on Sunday. Went there with some Indonesians. Felt like hundred years ago I last had conversation with a Japanese. You know what... they are still the same as far as I discerned. Reserved, reluctant, having total decorum :D. That`s what make them distinctive and special.

I also took another remedy by going to an Indian Restaurant. Ga nyambung ya? Well, I used to go to an Indian Restaurant in Toyohashi with some friends and I love the tandoori chicken there. Sow... My husband asked me on a date to eat in an Indian restaurant. Something in the taste I couldnt define is different from what I used to eat. But it`s quite tasty. Ureshii naa :)

7 Things I Love About Being Here

Maybe United States is not your choice for traveling abroad or study in the first place. Because many that I know would choose Europe over US .If in the future you will inevitably have to visit or move here, examine things I like here compared to your list. What I enjoy about being here are:

1. The TV series.
I never really count how many channel broadcasting here is, from famous TV channel we already know like ESPN, CNN, Fox, to others like BET (Black Entertainment), CW, a Latin channel that I forget the name of, and many more. What option do I have here except exploring unknown territory of TV programs when I take a repose in front of it :). Turns out that what I enjoy most is the TV series (not telenovela). To name a few : What I Like About You, 8 Simple Rules, Reba, The 70s show, Scrubs, Girlmore Girls (comedy), Desperate Housewives (most favoured), Lost, Grey`s Anatomy and still many more that I already lost the count :D.

2. The internet
Why the internet? Internet provides magnanimous possibilities to reach out farther than we thought we could. Shopping by internet is worthy of reliance, there is no need to worry. Information about authentic online course? Just one click away.

3. Courses Availibility
Bored at home? There are a lot of courses availabile here with reasonable prices (in ENGLISH, naturally). Spanish, English, Cooking, Art, Literature, Craft, History, just pick one, or two or as many as you like if you can afford it.

4. Extra Activities
World-weary of routines? Wanna join extra activities for free? Or just simply want to be involved? You come to the right place. We can join many activities (woman activities, volunteers etc)

5. Food
Being a country with noticable heterogeneity, US makes finding food and recipe component for us accessible. Halal food, Asian cuisine, Mexican Tortilla, Italian pasta, Mediterranean dish? Free from worry!

6. We can do and wear anything we like with no one even cares (as long as you dont disturb them). How nice it is? Not many nosy people here :D

7.As for me.. this is the place where Reza is, whom I want to be always next to. I guess this would make it move to the top of the list :) :)

Wanna make some additions to my list? Feel free :)

Arboretum

I went there on the weekend with my husband by biking. It was a lovely place to visit. We think of it as a perfect place to take pre-wed pictures. Could be a new business opportunity. Anyone interested??

Creating The Ambiance

Being a full time homemaker is leaving me with abundant supply of time (alias nganggur). We live in an apartment with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 livingroom-diningroom and 1 kitchen. There`s enough space for both of us, (in fact, who needs larger space anyway?). I am not in favor of cleaning-ups ; that`s why I love simplicity. Well.. a little adornment would be delightful. Too much of it requires more time and more efforts in cleaning ups. Besides, there is one thing which is more important than decoration to warm our home. That is love. With love, we feel safe, secure and comfortable. A feeling that makes us feel `Here is where I belong`.

You can see a glimpse of my apartment in the picture.

*Did you notice dolls placed on the chair in the bedroom? They`re not mine. Those belong to Reza :). Really , maybe there is a womanly side in every man :)).Becandaaaa*
